  • so lurker barrel is what your trying to say

  • @xXBauzerXx I think this video was out before the lurker - and he consuted us somewhat while designing it. :)

  • I wanted your opinion on something. Dye Ultralite vs the Planet Eclipse Shaft 4. Money not an option just wanted your take on which barrel is theoretically better.

  • @TheJGarrigues Shaft 4 has a longer control bore and smaller bore sizes available.

  • Thanks for the video! I really appreciate the time and effort you two have put into this research.

I was a little unclear about what you were saying at the end of the video (7% eff... Best vs. Worst.) Are you saying that underboring loses about 20 fps, and gains about ~7% efficiency? And that overboring loses about 7% efficiency?

If that isn't what you were saying, what were you saying?

  • @whalene something like that. even best to worst is only going to get you something like an extra pod on a very efficient gun.

  • Thx for the upload; priceless information for the novice airsmith and baller. Curious to your results regarding rifling. Not trying to argue, I just want a little bit more info. I see barrels that are straight line rifled. Did you test these and twist rifled? I understand the increased deficiency, but what are your thoughts on the straight line rifling? The wisdom being that the ball will knuckle instead of spinning in an unwanted manner. After watching the vid, undersizing makes a lot of sense.

  • @machokyle45 all in all the dye cf boomy just has the fact that it's quiet really. the accuracy with both barrels and with good paint: they were both great.

  • @machokyle45 but with crappy paint, let me reiterate the fact that this paint was complete and total shit, seriously, like... lopsided dimpled sitting in the trunk of my car for 8 or 9 months crappy paint, i think his shot a bit better... they both shot like crap and this is a hard thing to claim especially without having a crono but his gun shot it better when i gave him a pod at the end of the day to shoot... i think its cuz the stainless steel is smoother and his control bore is shorter.

  • with a dye cf boomy 15" .692 and a shaft 4 14.5" .693 and both of us shooting geo 2.1(his more broken in than mine and no crono just shooting and guessing too fast/slow) his cf boomy was much much quieter. you can't tell when its in ur hands that much but people who we played with said they could hear where i was when i shot but had no idea where he was when he shot at them. accuracy wise. with good paint there was no difference.. his hand was sticking out from a tree and i hit it 20ish yds away

  • @TheJGarrigues ok...probably the lighter one or the one that is quiettest, or the one with the longest control bore is best but they are very slight variables that comes down to personal opinion. but performance wise they will pretty much be the same...why are you choosing between these two barrels anyway? just curius because there seems to be better barrels for the money...also what did ur testing find? again just curius
