I play bass, drums, and acoustic, my dad plays bass and my brother also plays bass for his church.
Idk why that would agitate somebody cause playing with a pick isn't wrong... It's just his style. I also have a buddy who plays bass with or without a pick
And regardless of how this kid played the keyboard he still did it
I know alot of musical ppl... like MrSharpSuit plays some Mad guitar and drums!

@FearlessChikn i don't play bass. but my friend who is the the same age can play it just fine without a pick, and when he is playing the keyboard, he uses hammer-ons, which don't require the use of fingers or plectrums to play. But when i see someone playing a bass part (especially a cover) with a pick when the way it should be played is with fingers, i become agitated
