  • Joli ! Allez écouter la version de la "Maîtrise de Nîmes. Cantique de jean Racine". C'est bien aussi !

  • Have only ever sung this in French but truly enjoyed this version! Bravo all!

  • Very rich sound...its funny after not having sung this for 20 years, the words are coming back, in both english and french..

  • Exquisite. I've never heard the English translation. Bravo!

  • the original sheet music said for "piano or organ"

  • @jrxexxxsiren I don't think that there is an organ version, but don't quote me on that. However, I have seen organists take the piano accompaniment, and turn it into an organ accompaniment. That may be an option available to you, if you are looking for an organ arrangement.

  • We did this act arrangement my senior year in high school. BEAUTIFUL piece, when the dynamics are right, and performed correctly.

  • NICE!

Now for you language purists, I noticed that this was a reunion choir. In those types of events, there is not enough time to learn French diction. I would rather hear good tone and good interpretation than to hear the original language.

  • This is done so very well...Bravo Tutti....I don't mind the English...it's important to remember what these words actually mean. Thank you for a lovely performance of this most beautiful piece.

"And these, Thy gifts, we return unto Thee."

  • Wonderful performance, but please. Why did someone degrade this masterpiece by translating it? LIkewise, how do "Oh When the Saints" or "It's a Wonderful World" sound translated out of their original linguistic context? In a word: horrible.
