i drive a 1999 2.5TDI audi a6 avant, its also kinda economical and has power. but my dad drives a 2006 jetta 1.9TDI, and i fucking want to get that jetta :D mabye next year :D and anyway volkswagen made a great car i dont know how its in USA standarts, but in european standarts the jetta gets with 6.2 liters of diesel to a 100 km in very agressive driving :D

But they don't, because they didn't develop this technology. But GM owns Opel, which buys its engines from Fiat, so technically, GMs' American brands should have acces to these and alse PSA (Peugeot) sold its diesel motor division to Ford last year so, they should be arriving in US in a couple of years.
60 miles per gallon on fuel that is cheaper than regular gasoline now! Just bought my Reflex silver Sportwagon TDI with black leather interior. Why do I have to go to the Germans to buy a real car? The US companies should be be building this kind of car!
