Guillermo Gomez-Sanchez is a 50 year old legal resident with a mental disability. In 2004 Gomez was detained because of a dispute at a grocery store over a bag of tomatoes.

Guillermo spent 2 years at a private CCA (Corrections Corporation of America) detention facility - the corporation neglected to report his medical condition.

CCA profited close to $90,000 off of Gomez' incarceration, and ensured greater profit by failing to disclose his mental disability effectively leaving Guillermo trapped for 2 years. In 2010 CCA CEO Damon T. Hininger received $3,266,387 in total compensations.

In this supposed age of enlightenment, in this democratic society, we are censured if we claim allegiance to the Nazi Party, but we can sure act like Nazis when the profit motive reigns supreme. Prison guards are notorious cowards who get their jollies by bullying men who cannot defend themselves, especially if they are regarded as inferior life forms. This practice is tolerated by our corrupt system of incarceration that is riddled with bias and archaic notions.

@RegioLunar You nailed it, RegioLunar. The SS, who were in charge of the camps, was not even a branch of the Wehrmacht, but a private corporation like Blackwater -- or CCA.

Meanwhile, here in the 21st Century, this nightmare goes on literally just down the block from us, in a corporate facility not answerable to normal law enforcement regulations. This is absurd, and we must end it.

So let me get this straight: last week you told us that car wash operations were the devil himself, and this week you're telling us this guy is being held by government sponsored corporations that are preventing him from being free & washing cars.

This guy would have been better off if you people stopped demonizing the idea of working for a living in the 1st place. That way he would have had more job opportunities, and the people around him could afford to provide better care for him.
