Tutorial on how to hoop on your hips legs knees.
Lower the hoop from your waist to your knees and back again.
Ok lots of things to point out here!
Hip hooping
Hoop on your waist and push one hip out slightly. This motion should catch the hoop onto your hips.Keep the hoop there by using your hips and your bum.As the hoop rolls over them push them out and wiggle in circles. To raise the hoop back to your waist hoop quickly.
Leg hooping
Let the hoop drop slightly so it catches onto your legs.Keep your one leg still.
Right hoopers keep your left leg still
Left hoopers keep your right leg still.
Use your other leg to nudge the hoop around when it touches your knee, make small movements with it and keep your pace steady.
To raise the hoop back up to your waist
You need to jolt the hoop up with your moving leg.As the hoop touches the front of your leg lift your knee quickly and sharply forcing the hoop upwards.Hoop a bit quicker as it hits your hips wiggle and work the 3 areas explained earlier.
Hoop quickly to raise the hoop back to your waist.

  • i find that knee hooping with only one leg like this is actually more difficult because it slants the hoop....it seems to be out of control. Try using the other leg as the back push (instead of standing still). This way you can step and move/dance while knee hooping and it will stay level :)

  • Thanks for pointing out a different method sensesublimity. If you have trouble with a certain move its really helpful to have a alternative to try. What works for one person may not work so well for another.

    So thanks :) x

I found though if the hoop does slant to keep the moving foot on the floor and try to keep it flat-ish and only try to move your knee in the circular motion.

  • i can now knee hoop and up to my waist..

it is not pretty yet but i can do it every time..

    thanks again for your tutorial
