Tico Tico - Sky Blue Swing

Sky Blue Swing Band plays for a Northwest Folklife Festival dance party. Nadine Sanders on vocals, Julian Adamaitis on piano, Dave Bartley on guitar, Claude Ginsburg on violin, Peter Toms on bass.

This peppy Latin number was best known by Carmen Miranda's version performed wearing her infamous tropical fruit hat. She sang in Spanish at breath taking speed! We try to capture a little bit of the fun that this tune is all about. Claude's violin solo shows off a tiny taste of his many years of serious tango music performance.
