Second of two videos for my MatE115 Crystallography Project. This one covers Martensite and should be watched after the other one since I refer back to it quite a few times.
As mentioned before, I was hoping to be able to do animations, especially for the rotations, but this didn't work out. Unfortunately, showing pictures of the rotations just results in several identical pics (as you can imagine), so I had to gloss over that a bit. Still, I think the models I made help with the visualization of the rotations, so it's not a total loss.
Lastly, I want to emphasize again that the amount of information I could include was limited. The written report should make up for much of this, so assume any glaring omissions are covered there.
P.S. Just noticed that after uploading to YouTube, some of the text is kind of hard to read. Original video files are available upon request.
I used SolidWorks. In case you are not familiar, SolidWorks is actually CAD software, so it is not really intended to be used in this way. It actually worked out pretty well, though, and it would have been even better if I had the add-on for animations.
