La montée de guitares en ouverture est fascinante. Pendant ces quelques secondes, je me trouve ailleurs... Selon moi, le meilleur album de Peter, c'est "the future now" et de VDGG, ce serait "still life", juste devant "godbluff". Ah merde, j'ai oublié "over"... Du coup, je sais plus...
Peter Hammill solo album with virtually every member of Van der Graaf in attendance. Read the lyrics. Except for maybe Joni Mitchell, this guy uses words in his songs even Dylan doesn't use. Even though Hammill has a tendency to tell tall tales in his songs -- when he does a poignant one it's beautiful. "A House With No Door," is a work of art. "Killer" puts most heavy metal bands to shame, as would "Scorched Earth," "La Rossa," & "Nadir's Big Chance," & "Faculty X." He's a genius.
@nbelsky You'll hate me even more when I tell you this... At that time I knew Van der Graaf but I didn't know the members' names. So when I saw Peter Hammill, I spent the show saying to myself. Hey this guy tries to sound just like the singer of Van Der Graaf... What gives? A few days later, I suffered the blow of my mistake...
Gardens ablaze in color, slowly rotting in the dirt, and with your head on fire, you know that you can't really see, the hanging gardens sing, but with a hollow ring,
the life is false , it's killing me.....I have seen the hanging gardens in Xilitla, Mexico,
creation by Edward James, the Godfather of Surrealism, play this there and go out of your head.

@pagetournee
I hate you.
As good as the "...Pound" tour was, Hammil as a warm-up would have been perfect.
