I love how you guys are basing the accuracy of what she is saying when it was claimed around 2009(2years & some)... obviously if you are below or above her ranges you are in the minority. She is speaking for herself and on behalf of her counterparts. Another thing, if you already have a job in nursing and are successful that's great for you! Why bother coming on here and talking down to someone that has put the effort to introduce a general idea on the pay status for variety of nursing levels.

@1moblin I'd normally say "grow up" but i'm guessing you're in the 12 - 14 range so you have plenty of time!

@grimmergrimmer The word "Average" can vary from company to company, even if the same numbers and wages are being distributed. I'm currently getting my BFA (bachelor of fine arts) but I think I'm going to swap to a medical field such as nursing. I'm absoultely in love with anatomy, medicine, you name it. Anyway....Averages can be mean, median or mode, or even different means with different boundaries or primary / secondary sources. just because they say it's 32/36.5 doesn't mean anything.

I love how this is so outrageously wrong. In a document released by CARNA that im perusing as we speak has a data table with this in it
The overall average earnings for all Registered Nurses, according to the Alberta 2009 Wage
and Salary survey:
Average hours worked per week 37.8
Average wage per hour $36.55
Please, Im albertan student nurse, talk to an albertan nurse in your community, in person. they will know what they are talking about unlike one random on the internet.

@naali0408 ohh thats makes sense and i'm definitely not in it for the money but its not off of google its off of my provincial gov'ts website and where they hire off of hmm this is odd, :/

@jennheartsmac I'm sorry too but she's wrong it is set for all of Canada. The links I gave you are more reliable than google.com. Anyway, I don't want to argue about it either just don't like it when people get into nursing for the money. There really is no money in nursing, it's alot of hard work and dedication and when people realize that they are miserable and want to get out and end up feeling stuck. I appreciate that you have family memebers in nursing sounds like they like their job :)

@naali0408 I really am NOT trying to start an argument over wages of nurses this is quite silly hahah but i talked to my mom and she said that is it regulated by the health authority of your province please search up
ARE WAGES SET BY THE NURSES UNION IN CANADA in google and click the first link
I don't want to sound root or like a smart A@@ I was just saying and i'm sorry
