I agree, the MX 1 is a pretty poor micro heli. I test flew one for a magazine article. I'd call it a 2 and a quarter channel aircraft, and yes, build quality is bad.

Apparently Takara tomy are manufacturing them...not much more information is given anywhere:-(. Seems they are determined to make everything small, like the i-SOBOT! :-)

sorry to say this, the picooz mx-1 isnt very good to say the least. I had mine for one day, the tail rotor is snapped and wires have come loose, it is now unflyable
