The original B'way show was so much more fun, and the cast knew how to appeal to the audience, showing the innocence and the darker side of NY abandoned children of single parents in years past. McCardle, Dorothy Loudon, and Bernedette Peters were great singers and actresses.

Yeah, there not the originals. So what? Not every actor in a show has to be compared to an original cast member. Thats stupid. People who do that are immature and obviously dont understand talent and that every actor is different.
