@TheMuslimahSouljette The Koran says it is clear and needs no other book. Are you saying Allah was unclear. Of course, I've read the entire Koran, so I know 9:5 is clear and in context as a universal command to Muslims. Please quote the verse which speaks of jihad as inner struggle. Was the Battle of Badr inner jihad?

So jihad doesn't mean to strap a belt of TNT on your kid and detonate him to kill kafirs? How did Muslims become so misguided? Perhaps Muslims should cut 9:5 from the Koran.

@RockStudioLive: Firstly, thank you for leaving a comment, though it is highly erroneous.
Secondly, Jihad means struggle. One has many struggles in life, I am sure you do too, as you have clearly shown your struggle in learning the reality of Verse 5 from the 9th Chapter of the Qur'an. Therefore, I urge you to read the entire chapter 9, followed by the Tafsir in order to gain the full interpretation.
Lastly, I leave you with one word PEACE - SALAM.
