waoww, there is so much to learn about his solos in this song....PURE GENIUS!!! PETER GREEN FOR PRESIDENT!

@fieldfullofthistles I reckon if they had, they'd be just as big as bands like The Stones or Led Zep. They outsold The Beatles and The Stones combined in 1969!
-
@RobPic914 Totally agree - can you imagine how it would have been had they stayed together?
-
@fieldfullofthistles Don't get me wrong, I know what you mean, the vibrato did sound more like Danny, and his playing is a little less soulful than Peter's, you're probably right about him talking the solo. Danny's style is pretty tough to distinguish from Green's as he probably learned quite a lot from him. I can't help but love the incredible guitar dueling on "Like It This Way".

@RobPic914 Just had another listen and I'll be as bold as to say I know its Peter taking the intro its Dannys solo in the middle and Peter closes it out. The sound and phrasing is so different. I have to admit Dannys playing caught me out big time at first - i thought it was Peter playing Blues with a Feeling about 10 years ago! Something to listen for is the vibrato - Dannys is a lot faster - and Peter plays more melodically - close to BB Kings style. Good topic anyway! Cheers

@fieldfullofthistles I doubt it, they recorded it before Danny was even in the band, it's rare that Danny play lead on one of Peter's older songs. It might be both of them on lead, but it just sounds like one.
-
I believe your right good sir.. the vibrato gives it away
-
I think its Danny playing lead on this one - maybe not the first bit but the solo.
