Thanks. I never heard that one. I love how early and how optimistic the tone. Like, "The Bells" and "Morning" there is such a fresh quality to it. One of the greats in my mind, Phil Ochs!

Spaceman appears on the Broadside Tapes written 1962-63 and is listed on the lost Jim Glover Tapes (1963). Spaceman is not listed as having been performed at any of Phil's concerts.

This song was also released on "On Broadside," an album exclusively of Phil Ochs, and the songs he wrote for that publication. That is where I heard it.

Oh? I didn't know this wasn't on any of his recordings! I admittedly haven't listened to much Phil Ochs. I intend to do so in the future. What would you recommend I start with?
This recording, by the way, was taken from 'This Is Your Land: The Story of American Folk Music'. It is a great compilation.. in fact... I think I will post another great track from this compilation.. watch this space!!
As for the year of recording - I'm not sure... it's actually my friend's cd so I will ask him.
