Unfortunately, the idiot who thumbed up garysher3's comment, instead of using the common sense approach of thumbing down on sight is ignorant.
The American Red Cross has no desire to keep MEN having sex with MEN, not homosexuals, from donating blood. It is the Food and Drug Administration that stops these charitous men from donating. The ACR is fighting that.
