Several minutes of DmC gameplay action, as first seen at the 2011 Tokyo Game Show.

ABOUT THIS GAME
************************
DmC Devil May Cry, a new game that sees the team at Ninja Theory joined by key staff from Capcom's R&D division. Set against a contemporary backdrop, DmC will depict a duplicitous world where nothing is ever as it seems and the line between good and evil is constantly blurred. Spurred into action by the promises of a trusted relation, Dante bursts into this world intent on revenge at any cost. DmC will retain the series' signature mix of sword and gunplay but add additional weapons, all new powers and a revitalised gameplay system. DmC Devil May Cry is being developed for PS3 and Xbox 360.

  • New "Dante" is actually a sociopathic, sadistic, paranoiac, who believes himself to be the real Dante and lives out such beliefs in his dream state he refers to as "Limbo" which is actually his perspective on his own manic episodes. When he gains control of this "dream state" his appearance changes to reflect his belief (to be more like Dante himself)

My guess is he will be saved by some demon magic mcguffin that [the real] Dante must get by backtracking the previous levels in the game.

  • @Longshot405 Exactly! I don't know why other people don't seem to get it. The art direction is superb, the combat looks fun and even has the same classic moves from DMC, and the story seems cool; but it isn't DMC to me because THAT"S NOT DANTE. I'm not saying it's not going to be a good game, I'm saying THAT"S NOT DANTE.

  • @WhOisTaEdA 4 was weird... The first half of the game was Nero. Second half was Dante. Last two missions were Nero again.

And you couldnt switch them in the missions even after you beat the game, which was a shit move on capcom's part.

  • I havent been in DMC since the fourth one (My name is Dante :]) and i miss the old white-haired badass and not that "Nero" guy or this one

  • @sideways895 Thats just what I hope it will be, I have no idea whether the developer will take a risk to make a serious attempt at exploring mental illness

just cross your fingers and hope

  • @sniper71234 and now you have restored faith long enough for me to play this game

  • @Morr1992 you just answered your own question

  • Ok, that guy is NOT Dante, get that faggot-ass out of the game.

Capcom has really screwed themselves over with this game. Not buyin' it.

  • hmmmmm not feeling it. looks like he ha the same moves as nero. what a shame :(

  • obviously, this is Dante as younger, so unless it's Dante Jr, it is obviously a prequel, get over it

  • @sniper71234 okay

  • What's wrong with Dante's new Jersey Shore-like style look?
