President Obama will address students across the country today urging them to work hard and stay in school. His remarks are reportedly similar to those made by past Presidents like George H.W. Bush and Ronald Reagan. Is it appropriate for any President to address students directly? Do you think a presidential speech to the nations school children can significantly affect their attitudes toward education? If you have a child who is in school today, do you want him or her to watch the Presidents televised remarks?

  • Ok people where was all the brainwashing you all was talking about. Oh no he told kids to stay in school. Oh wow you guys was right that was bad. I have one question for you where the hell was you when Bush was do worst than telling a kids to stay in school. Stop the left and right stuff and let do things that will fixs the country.

  • Conservatives are upset because they think they own the patents on the words "personal responsibility", "hard work" and "freedom" and they resent a president they dislike putting out a message they pretty much agree with. Makes it harder for them to paint Obama as some kind of radical bogeyman.

  • @grayfox2682 Oh, a "momma joke"... How original. Cute... Spelled "moma" wrong and everything.

  • @TheOneAndOnly2020 I was at your house slaping your moma for having sex with your daddy.

  • @TheOneAndOnly2020 Okay, you missed the irony. All I'm doing is saying the exact same thing that was said to people who criticized Bush, or any other President. I guess you don't watch "The Colbert Report".

  • @alkh3myst I wish people would quit blindly following the next puppet in office "just because he's president". It really is ridiculous that you call people that don't support the president "communists" and "unpatriotic". Where have you been getting your information? Let me guess, the news media? Because it certainly didn't come from the constitution. That actually sounds like what hitlers Gestapo's would've said if they didn't support hitler.

  • @alkh3myst Just because someone doesn't support our president/his actions, doesnt mean they are either unpatriotic, or a communist. Quite the opposite actually. A lot of people see obama AS a socialist/communist, and unpatriotic himself. People who blindly follow people in high power, like the president, are the ones who are unpatriotic. It's EVERYONES job to question everything the president, or anyone else with power, to uphold our constitution/liberties and make sure they're doing a good job.

  • @grayfox2682 Where 'was' you when you 'was' supposed to be in school learning grammar?

  • If the President were to hold a political speech to high school children that would be wrong because then it seems obvious that he would be trying to get the vote from them for the next election.

  • lol, a lot of school children wanna achieve the presidental office, thats a good one :D

but damn guys, thats a question like " is it ok when the dustman takes away ur garbage" ... there wont be anybody saying no, id like to do that by myself

  • OBAMA SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
