I see a lot of people commenting on this version God and his use of profanity and general attitude. I guess the way I see it is if God really just wanted to reach out to one of us, and take a break from our constant bullcrap, wouldn't it be best for him to approach us in a way we would understand? The way he's speaking makes it easier for Jeff to get where he is emotionally. He's just speaking Jeff's language, which especially helps his atheist host. I would totally grab this God a snuggie.

I want to see this as an ongoing series. God and the Atheist: Roomates. Hilarity ensues.

As are you welcome to yours. As it happens, I'm very open to learning. I'm sure your beliefs have come through the influence of others and the experiences you've had, although it does strike me as very odd that you aren't very critical about them. Your statement suggests that you have very typical Christian views. This video offers a very interesting perspective on a God. Why do you choose to preach your particular interpretation, as you described, might I ask?

Well you're welcome to your opinion, I haven't lived your life nor experienced what you have. We've clearly lived different things. I only hope you are open to learning. (:

That's the amazing thing though, he has approached us in a way we can understand, through Jesus. He came as a man, as one of us humans, to speak of his love and share it. And yet he is still God, because he didn't commit any sins. This allowed us to ask Him to forgive us and take on our sins. If we ask Jesus to become a part of our life, we are connected to Christ personally and eternally. :)
