  • Isn't it a bit weird an Atheist speaking about experiencing the joy of the Lord?

  • @margarethoxha Christianity is evil

  • @margarethoxha It's not hers alone. I stand with her.

  • @applereddelicious Why should they be happy if they feel they have been mistreated? Being "upbeat" does not mean one is correct. I am a Christian and I am deeply disturbed by Hillsong. I do not see anything of that which I love about Christianity in their teachings or services. They provide a powerful emotional experience through their worship services which many mistake for the presence of God, yet their teachings are theologically, spiritually and morally bankrupt.

  • The Interesting thing is Hillsong is happy and upbeat critics of Hillsong are neither of these things.

  • @PostalTubeAlex - Timothy McVeigh was an atheist. But you're so indoctrinated you cannot understand that. He never said once he was religious except in an interview with Gore Vidal (the leftist atheist like you) where he said, "Science is my religion." But you've never read Vidal. You're just another Liberal Fascist hate monger who self-censors. What church did he attend? No answer because it doesn't exist.

Joe Stack? Leftist atheist like you

Jared Loughner? Leftist atheist like you

  • Tanya Levin's entitled to her point of view. But remember that her point of view is hers alone. Thousands and thousands of people have benefited from the message promoted by Hillsong and experienced the fruits of its social action work around the world.

  • Its about physical EXPRESSION of the spiritual not physical EXPERIENCE. If you let your emotions guide you in worshipping God, you are not getting anywhere!

  • @hubbatg No, I wouldn't because I'm an agnostic/atheist. I don't believe that Satan exists. The reason why I care so much about people believing that they have a close personal relationship with a fictional god, is because they might be deluded into thinking that 'god' has a mission for them, or is directing them to discriminate/have an agenda that is harmful to society.

Examples: Timothy McVeigh, Taliban, evangelical chaplains in schools brainwashing kids etc etc.

  • If people want to experience their belief as a relationship with God in an expressive lifestyle or worship, why make people feel bad for believing that? You all talk about these people being blind, but they apparently feel they found sight in something they believe is bigger than them. We believe in freedom to love, you can love anyone no matter what race creed, etc. Why not have those same chivalries to people and their God? Don't call them crazy, bc they aren't like u.
