What awful torment, what a damper!

Apparently, we’re to get used

To willows’ copper of September.

The lips of others took away

The thrill and fervor of your feeling.

As if it were a drizzling rain

Out of a soul, a little chilly.

I have revealed another pleasure.

But yellow spoilage and damp weather.

My heart for tranquil life and care.

So very few roads are behind,

So many blunders have been there.

The garden, like about God’s Acre,

Our blossom also will be lost,

We’ll quiet, strangers in the garden…

There are no flow'rs in winter frost,

So you don't have to grieve about 'em.
