Sifu Serrano unites with Sensei Hernandez (Aikido expert) and give this great demonstration. You can really appreciate what happens when two martial art instructors get together and share their unique knowledge.

  • I love both of these arts! Aikido uses energy principles and Kajukenbo uses a combination of hard and soft styles. Kaju is ever evolving and is not held back by any one art. It all depends on the Kajukenboist! Where his background lies. Karate, Judo, Juijitsu, Kenpo or chinese gung-fu. The Kajukenboist gravitates to the form that is most fitting to him while he utlilizes the other arts as needed.

    Sifu Luke!!!

  • Very well explained, Sifu. Take care.

  • Aikido is Japanese. Kajukenbo is a mixed art. KA=karate JU=judo/Japanese Jiujitsu KEN=kenpo BO=chinese and western boxing

the only stick fighting you will find in most Kaju schools is with escrima sticks. usually. kaju is open to almost anything so you never know what you will find

  • good vids..i hope i have both technics

  • Aikido came from aiki-jujutsu

  • @violentbuddha Depends on the KJKB school and style actually. We use staves as well as Chinese broadswords in our classes. Some KJKB branches have more of a kung fu influence and some have more of a street fight approach without much use of traditional martial arts weapons. Some are more escrima focused, but all are under the umbrella of kajukenbo.

  • @psychick99 I agree....but I took lessons of an art called Aiki-jutsu which is similar to Aikido but alot better.Check Takeda Ryu.....

  • Aikido is Bullshit, itrained it for 7 months with no result, no body would give up his hand like an idiot as they teach it!

  • @norm58 I love your post, Haters have no style!

  • I'm a Shotokan practitioner for 17 years, a Kajukenbo practitioner for 2 (intense training) years and an Aikido-ka for 3 months. It is my humble opinion that this video is very well produced and executed to beautifully show the wide range of Aikido and Kajukenbo techniques. I very much enjoyed watching the expert executions. Bravo! Thank you!
