Using instrument racks gives you more flexibility when layering sounds, but bouncing the audio gives you different controls over the sound since you have it as an audio file. Both methods have their pros and cons, so its essential to know both.

Instead of recording the midi track into the audio track, i have a better solution. duplicate the midi track, freeze track, flatten.

You don't need to record in real time. You can drag the midi part to an audio track & it will give you a recording
