Megamix with Pro Tools

A megamix made with Pro Tools. No other tools were used to finish this mix. It was completely mixed, edited using the Pro Tools M-Powered Software. This mix contains songs of the 80's.

Adobe Audition looks more professional but I am looking for really good master tempo feature. I think the mix keeps same tampo for most of the time. Question: do you need to chnge tempo or you pick only certein BPM songs (I can see lines nicely indicating bars but real life with tempo is brutal because you need to speed up the mix making tempo trasition etc.).

Does this software have a good tempo changing feature without chnging pitch?

I sort the tracks by BPM and Key. The advantage is that I don't need to stretch extrem tempo changes.

Pro Tools delivers a function called elastic time. With this feature you can stretch the track in a very good quality. The old version of timestretching doesn't work very good.

Have you took a look to Ableton? It is very easy to use and gives you a very good timestretch quality, too.

Nice megamix! I am doing a project at university that requires me to create a megamix using protools. I have Protools LE 8. i have chosen a number of songs to be in the mix but i don't know how to beat match/timestretch (make the tracks stay in time) I presume i have to change the tempo or something? If you could help, I will be incredibly grateful!
