@skater15153 what do you mean i dont understand =S??

jonesaus1,
that's what throttle blip is for :)
plus, keeping it in gear uses no gas when not on the throttle.

Unless your breaking her in.
-
the main thing about coasting with the clutch in is when you let the clutch out, you may be in the wrong gear, causing massive engine braking all of sudden locking the rear wheel, or wheelspin, then sending you flying...

While multiple idle shifts down on an unsynchronized gear box is totally the sort of treatment it likes? ;)
-
understandable, i recomend reading keith codes Twist of the Wrist 1 and 2. I think that should help you out a bit. Maybe do a couple track days aswell.

is that a serious response? Engine breaking helps keep the bike weight properly distributed. Engine breaking does no more damage to the engine than driving it normally. Believe me, i have an SV race bike...and a GSXR 600 and together they have like 24,000 miles on them and both work flawlessly.
Change the oil and do your maintenance and you won't have issues.

why? I am a new rider too and I heard engine braking doubles the wear.
why are you coasting on a bike?...you should never pull the clutch in and coast while riding.
