Following Hurricane Katrina in 2005, I was blessed with a trip to Indianapolis to throw out the ball at a Colts Monday night game against the Steelers.
Colts owner Jim Irsay generously flew my daughter Lisa and me to Indy, put us up in a hotel next the RCA Dome; and I threw out the ball at the game. I got to meet Peyton Manning and got his autograph on my jersey.
This all came about because I was a Mississippi hurricane victim and avid Colts fan. Thanks to the efforts of many Indy fans who got this done for me. Thanks also to Mr. irsay and the entire Colts organization. Thanks to Peyton who was so kind and gracious. Thanks to many people in Indy who made this a special event in my life. I will never forget this experience.
I included in this video some highlights from the game, including awesome pre-game ceremonies and the Manning/Harrison 80 yard TD. The complete video was sent to me by the Colts organization, and this is an edited version. Thanks for commenting and rating; however, profanity and personal attacks will not be tolerated.
