While you are at it, look into the absolute destruction of the Northern Yellowstone Elk herd. How about the destruction of the Southern herd as well. Maybe look at the destruction of the Lolo elk herd. There are an estimated 5000 Canadian Gray Wolves in three states. Each of them consume 24 elk per year each. That is a grand total of over 120,000 elk per year, and it does not take into account the sport reflex killing they specialize in. save western wildlife

Yes, they were in fact introduced illegally. Ed Bangs and company illegally diverted 60 million dollars from the Pittman Robertson Excise Tax Fund. This was not the only illegal act they committed. What about the permit 3-177 that is required by "All" entities who import animals? What about the decimation of our already growing resident wolf population? The problem is... today's elk and deer are inferior specimens in comparison to their ancestors. Trophy hunting and mans interference over the decades has left behind an inferior animal that is easy prey for the wolf. If left alone, it would take hundreds of years for the herds to re-build the strength to live amoungst the wolf, as it did for millions of years. The average deer in states like Georgia are now the size of a golden retriever. The whole thing is a giant mess imo.
