I love Oz and one of the things I think is so great about him is that under his eloquence and his desire to elevate our understanding is a real firm social and political belief. In his 'Drink to Britain', on numerous occasions he championed the British (or Irish) drink and again here he is doing so. What he says makes not only perfect sense, but perfect economic and social sense too. I really feel that he has a very profound understanding of the much wider rôle local consumption plays in the UK
