All you need to do is watch the guy in the background just after he struck the ball he continues with his practice swings. Fake!!

stop saying this is fake, the ball doesnt vanish behind the cap, the reporter is shocked, adn if you knoiw anthing about base ball that is how a ball looks when it is hit.

If this is real: We have about a 180 degree field of vision including peripherals. This is coming from outside that view, so no he did not see it coming. It would be believable that people yelling at him could make him aware the ball was coming and he react fast enough to catch it.
Why it's not real: The reporter obviously would've screamed, ducked, or something to react to the ball coming. She didn't budge an inch, and did not acknowledge that he just saved her getting hit by any means.
