Barack Obama Tells Supporters Ten Thousand Died In Tornados

Barack Obama, caught up in the fervor of a campaign speech Tuesday, drastically overstated the Kansas tornadoes death toll, saying 10,000 had died.

The actual death toll was 12.

He also blamed the Iraq War caused a shortage of heavy equipment for the cleanup. The Kansas Army National Guard debunked this also.

I watch a lot of Obama speeches. Every once in a while he says something dumb.I also watch a lot of McCain speeches. Once in a while he says something dumb. Both will continue to have occasional brain farts. We all do. I try to look at either of them, in context and though I was once a McCain man (seriously) I am now liking what Obama is saying.I am really trying not to get sucked into "gotcha" posts. I hope we can debate what the candidates are all about and not their occasional verbal gaffs.

Actually, I think the sharp increase in crude oil price in 2008 by the middle east is mainly a political one. It's aim is to drag down the US economy, thus creating a sense of resentment against the ruling Republican party and fostering support for the Trojan horse Obama who is favored by people in the middle east. Until the USA can wean itself from foreign oil, the US economy and safety is at the mercy of oil producing countries who hate the US.

In June 2008 the Obama camp and the liberal mass media whores were blaming the US oil companies for $4 per gallon of gasoline even though it was evident that the sharp increase of crude oil price by OPEC was the culprit.

Now with crude oil price down to about $50 per barrel due to low demand because of recession, the price of gasoline in the US also drops to the average of about $2 per gallon. However this time the Obama camp and the liberal mass media whores attribute the low gasoline price to low crude oil price only and the US oil companies suddenly play no part at all in the reduction in gasoline prices in their sight.

It's a good example of how truth can be distorted in dirty politics.

The average price of crude oil was $11.91 in 1998 and it was increased by OPEC to $102.7 in 2008.

It's a 8.6 fold increase in crude oil price by the middle east. Yet the price of gasoline refined from crude oil in the US only increased from $1 in 1998 to $4 in 2008.

The Obamanites are so stupid to blame the US for the increase in gas price instead of the middle east countries.
