Join Steve as he gives you the basics and some skipping drills to put into your workout.simple but effective give it a try. suitable for all levels just increase the level with longer skipping periods
i.e 20,40 then work up to 60 secs. don't forget to take breaks in between

  • I always wanted a skipping rope when I was a kid. My mum never got me one though. I think she was worried I might ask for a doll or my little pony next. I probably should have mentioned that it was watching Rocky films and the training that made me want one. Anyway... I'm going to get one now, it looks a great way to keep fit.

    im 17 and ive just watched all the rocky films beacause i love them so much and something just clicked in me that i wanted to start skipping and get into shape more, also anyone watch time warp? anyway, there was a dude and a women on their showing the skipping techniques and there were so amazing the women had such a great figure! i mean im not fatt or huge i just want something to keep me fit and in shape. is skipping better than jogging or walking?

  • how long is ur rope? i always trip my rope, i'm not sure if my rope is still too short or long.

  • Too light? Now way! Skipping is absolutely knackering even with a light rope.

    It's great for CV and also good for the arms, legs and abdomen (depending on the type of skips you do).

    Have you not seen Rocky? :-)
