I remember hearing about this case when I moved to Oviedo in 1991, and every week seeing an ad in the classifieds about Deborah, for years, maybe even still today, It always stuck with me it was just so sad. Great video, & sound is fine on my end. Perhaps you could contact & submit your documentary to the show Disappeared on Investigation Discovery, maybe with renewed life someone would come forward, was watching Disappeared about a case in 84 (Daytona) made me think of her and found your video.

This is a good video. Good start. Did you guys do this for school or something? It looks like you guys did this as a project or something.

This is fake.

the narrator sucks gosh its like listening to a dying man

Maybe Iaagi is a murder and then some Or maybe he hired the megadeth kid to kill her Maybe Iaagi heard about the convenience store murders and wanted it to look like it .. it's believed that Lori Tillman had SOMETHING TO DO WITH Her roommate/ supposed "best friend"
-
Respond to this video... Cause wouldn't they put that in the public domain if they resolved that the megadath guy had nothing to do with it, supposedly...
-
@hexheds He might look like Scott Iyagi, the boyfrien
-
Why no mention of the Megadeth guy?
-
Thanks WolverineHistorian, because I was just sitting here confused and thinking to myself, I didn't know Unsolved Mysteries was on back in 1981.

A compelling story. It's a shame the narrator didn't read his lines with more passion.

The Stealth bomber, laser surgery, even the microchip are all "benefits" of trading humans for technology. 300,000 missing children each year, add missing adults, and the number would probably double. Our government has allowed approximately 600,000 American citizens to become victims of the Greys and UFOs every year since 1954 and have agreed to stay silent about it and deny it's happening all for the promise of technology

I can't imagine what it is like to learn of a family member missing and not finding them. It's sad and terrifying. It breaks my heart.

A psychic medium would be ideal for this case. There is also new EVP technology to achieve clearer voice communication with the deceased. It will be solved. I suspect it was the ex-boyfriend turned preacher. God sees all.

Have to retract my previous statement; there is one Orlando Sentinel article (archived) that mentions witness who claims to have seen the Megadeth guy. Still curious at to what caused police to focus on the ex boyfriend.
-
@ethanquin Thanks for making this documentary. UM had an irritating tendency to leave out pertinent information. I've read up on some of articles and the Megadeth guy isn't mentioned.....curious if the police discount the witness' statements entirely or if they feel that guy was simply a thief. Security cameras weren't common back then (sometimes there would be a false camera to deter theft).
Curious if Poe believed she was just stepping outside for a moment, or actually leaving....

the narrators voice is very annoying

dude try to lower the bass. next time yu do a flick.........sux when yu cant understand what anyone says cuz of the bass you guys do to liven up the video..it aint my stereo either......

@Castellon432 Sorry you had a problem with the bass. The sound was edited with calibrated monitor speakers, and then shown on a big screen through the in house PA system. Didn't have any problems on multiple setups. Let me know what speakers you are using, and when I upload any more videos I will check the lower frequencies on the output.

Why isn't the guy who was seen behind the counter of the store (wearing a Megadeth t-shirt) discussed at all? Who is the suspect whose house is mentioned in this segment? A customer purchased cigarettes from 'Megadeth Man', and noticed that his behavior was odd for a store clerk. Debra was nowhere to be seen at that time. That sighting was the best lead at the time that Unsolved Mysteries aired Debra's disappearance.

The best lead they did have was going after her boyfriend at the time, searching the property of a Baptist Church across the street from his house. Dogs found a scent of a corpse but digging found nothing. Investigators said that a body might have resided in the area and was moved later on.
Thanks for checking out the video.

Excellent job on making this documentary. One small correction, though. Unsolved Mysteries aired the Debra Poe segment in 1991, not 1981.
It still irks me to this day that this convenient store didn't have security cameras. You would figure by 1990, they all would.

I listened to it again and he is saying 1991, but it does get a little slurred to sound like 1981. I only had a limited time with the voice actor, but he did a good job.
It is weird that they didn't have security cameras, but I don't remember seeing a lot of cameras in places until 94 and 95. I would always point them out when I would see them, it felt like I was casing the place.
