  • I also have a Thompson Center Omega. Mine is the blued barrel with the black composite Thumb through stock. With a Bushnell Banner scope. I used to hunt with a shotgun and could never achieve tight consistent groups with shotgun slugs. This rifle is incredibly accurate. It is very re-assuring to know that where you put the crosshairs is where the bullet is going to hit. TC Omega highly recomended

  • so tactical musket? lol

  • I have the exact same muzzle loader. This gun is by far my best gun in the cabinet. Very reliable easy to clean as you say. I use gorrila grease on my breach plug, and can run several shots through it the plug comes right out. I like you was optically challenged so I bought the T/C quick release mounts, and I sport a Nikon pro staff scope. I remove the scope during cleaning, and it pops right back on with the quick release scope mounts. You are correct this gun is it.

  • I had a knight disc elite and it was a very nice and accurate gun. I just bought a TC Omega stainless grey laminate model. This is a beautiful gun and it is accurate, and easy to clean. I am shooting 110 grains of 777 ffg loose powder and TC Shockwave bonded 250 grain bullet. I am getting 1 1/2 inch groups at 100 yards right now. I am going to drop the load to 100 or less I bet it will shoot moa. I like not having to remove a bolt and use plastic jackets anymore. Great gun, I would recommend it.

  • i baught 1 around Christmas and i baught the thompson center impact its a great gun,and i shoot 295gr powerbelts and i love it. i use the pyrodex 50gr pellets instead of the loose powder. but its a great/affordable rifle

  • My first was an omega as well. Didnt have the thumb hole of the fluted barrel, but a nice gun.Ive got a video of the Thompson Encore BP rifle if youd be interested in checking it out.

  • i love my omega, great muzzleloader.

  • Not Correction you But just an informative assist...You said sabot like saybot and most say it like sabot but the real pronounciation it saybo.......Nice gun though I looking at thins same gun But im short on money so im looking used!

  • @MadBadVoodo more like $399.98

  • Nice post here and I would recommend you try the T/C Bonecollector. The new recoil system takes the jump right out of the barrel for a smooth equal dispertion of energy. Extremely accurate with a very crisp trigger pull making it a joy to play with.
