  • We could have played for hours, seeing Karin and Hogne rip around the floor. Hogne - some fiddler!- was the soul of the HARPA tour; Karin's a delightful host and what a teacher. The next morning, she led us through an hour of tricky Hardanger steps and twirls. Seeing this gives me nostalgia for the Telemark air, mountains, people, and cowbells. Charlotte

  • Karin Brennesvik and Hogne Tellnes entertained us immensely at Karin's lodge in Hovin, Telemark, Norway. Karin was just back from a performance and was all arrayed in her beautiful 'bunad'. She and Hogne, the HARPA group's friend and busdriver, spontaneously danced 'sving' to the reinlendar played by the harps during our practice (På vei til Stavanger, by Fred Aalto). This took place during the HARPA 08 tour to Norway, on or about May 29th, 2008. -- Beth Kollé, HARPA Project Director
