I disagree with you mate. I've been allowed behind barriers at Nourlangie and Ubirr and experienced a very personal Yellow Waters tour with maybe 5-6 others on the boat. Although this may have been due to the flooded roads preventing access from Darwin to Kakadu by road whilst I was there but either way it was spectacular. I'm not much of a museum/art enthusiast but I very much appreciated seeing all the rock art.

Kakadu is truly a fantastic place to see.

  • Nice to here the locals talking but please be more realistic with how people experience the area. The public aren't allowed behind barriers (for good reason) at artsites like Nourlangie as shown the video, and it would be 1 in 100,000 that could experience a cruise like that on yellow water, it's a very different experience jammed on a boat with 60 other people. Kakadu is a fantastic destination but after seeing these videos is it any wonder tourists expectations are shattered when they arrive?

  • beautiful!
