Nice vids, seems like you had some trouble with Kelly controllers. What controller would you recommend for a new comer like myself? Did you use a precharge circuit and if so how was it wired?

@conspiracy777 I bought evrything motor and all but My controler from Cloud Electric and called for some advice on hooking it up to a Kelly KBL 72301 and They did't want to help Me that will be the last time I buy from them I hope you find the help you need

First I want to thank you for posting these videos.
I just got a Kelly PM48201. It has fwd, rev. and also regenerative braking.
I'm very familiar with Navitas, and Alltrax as well as 4QD. But this is the first Kelly I've had. Is there a support number in the US? or a place to find one?
I had some questions from Cloud electronics where I purchased it, but they didn't have any interest in helping me even answer any general questions.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated !

Hi! Are you happy with the kelly? I consider purchasing one for my project. I want the full power (650 Amps). So I would like to know if it's possible to run it for a longer time on this current... Thanks

The kelly controller can only handle about 150 amps, because of the heat produce from higher amps for long running time.
so when you see 600 amps its for a short time, its about 30 seconds before it burns up.
hi yes keely controllers are not a good choice over rated for amps made in china etc , your best bet would be to join A ELECTric vehicle group ie discussion , evdl ,,, i would recommend contacting kelly directly , the controller is main component ., im sure by now theres newer ie better controllers out there ,, i recomend research first with other ev builders first . lonnie good luck , ps be carefull on wiring a kelly , if you even look crosseyed at one they poof .
