Zeena McLaughlin missed out on the 2000 Olympics as the Australian coach plays favourites!! Zeena won 5 medals at the 1998 Commonwealth Games, only another Australian gymnast has matched that (Lauren Mitchell in 2010) yet she only made it as a reserve on the 2000 Olympic team. Instead the coach put in somebody who fell twice on their vault in the team finals and also fell off the beam in the individual all around! Go figure!

Who was in green on beam at the Olympics?

And you can see in this video that Atler was able to pull of the Comaneci (somersault between the bars.) She fell so often on it later in her career though that everyone dreaded that part of her routine in case she fell. The pressure must have been enormous!

some of these girls were in the olympics...that isnt exactly bad in my mind...that was their future, and they got there

Nice tribute... to be honest I don't recognise many of them, just Elvire Teza and Alexandra Marinescu. But Elvire had a "long" carreer didn't she? And as for Alexandra is sad she was pulled out for Amanar twice!!!! But at least Amanar came through and won bronze in atlanta and silver in the 1997 WC. Still, not fair that she did it at expense of Marinescu.

Yes that's true. teza was long in the scene. But she never became the champion poeple thought she would be. Never realy medaled in a big competition. But that's for me. Ofcourse someone will think diffrent.
