Untitled Longing... Chapter 232

I know most of you have probably been waiting for this...
I'm SO SO sorry it took so long! I really had no say in the matter, 'cause I had terrible writers block with this story. I'm so sorry.
To everyone who sent me messages (that I didn't reply to), thank you so much. I didn't reply 'cause honestly, I was too lazy, and I felt too guilty to do so.
I know this chapter is incredibly short, but better this than nothing, right? Plus, I wanted to end it here...
Posting won't be back up like it used to, but I'm going to try to get back on schedule.

Summer's POV.
Drew and I are pressed up against Alex' door, pretty much risking our lives... Joy is safe, locked up in our room. Alex is on the phone with someone important, I just dont know who.
"Hello, Mr. Jonas." My stomach drops when I hear that name.
"You think he means Nick, or Paul?" Drew whispers in a tone so low, I have to strain to hear him.
"Shh," I hiss. I press up against the door harder.
"Yes, this is Alex. I'm done with this. I'd like you to bring me my requests at..." Alex lowers his voice significantly so I can't hear the rest. Damn.
"Very well. Just make sure the police doesn't." I look at Drew with fear in my eyes.
"That is all. I'm going to check on her right now." The words barely even register in my mind before Drew jerks me backwards and starts running. I stumble a couple of times, but make it to my room in one piece. Drew hastily unlocks the door and shoves me inside.
"Get in. I'll pretend I was making you dinner. Go!" Drew hisses. I run to the bed and quickly get in. I curl up against the little girl who's peacefully asleep. She'd been having nightmares the first few nights, but she's okay now.
"Summer?" she mumbles as I take her in my arms.
"Yes, sweetheart. Go back to sleep." I kiss the top of her head gently and she nods. I exhale deeply when her breathing deepens even more. Then the door opens loudly and harshly. I don't have to turn around to know who it is; Drew is careful and sweet. Plus, he knows Joy is asleep so he'd be extra quiet. I cup Joy's ears in hope Alex won't wake her up with his screaming.
"Get up you miserable little piece of shit!" he yells. I quickly obey and pick Joy up with me.
"Leave the kid here," Alex demands, rolling his eyes. I know I have to do what he says or it could end up badly for the both of us. I reluctantly lay Joy back in the big bed. She stirs and I freeze.
"C'mon, bitch. Drew and I don't have all day," Alex booms. My heart stops. Drew? My mouth goes dry as I walk out of the room. Drew?
We reach the living room, where Drew is standing uneasily next to the coffee table.
"Sit," Alex orders. I try to catch Drews eye, but he seems to be avoiding my gaze significantly. My abdominal muscles clench. Was it all a lie? Is he on Alex's side after all, spying on me from the inside? Tears well up in my eyes, but I refuse to let myself cry. I won't. Period. End statement. Drew finally looks at me and I see tears in his eyes as well as an overwhelming amount of guilt and pain. That can't be good.
"You see, Summer, I'm having doubts about Drew's loyalty to me," Alex starts. I swallow hard. This is quite difficult, seeing as my throat is closing up and the familiar dull ache appears.
"So I need him to prove it." I finally stop staring at Drew and look over at Alex.
"W-what does that mean?" I choke out. His laugh that follows chills me to the bone.
"Stand here in front of him." I do as told.
"Now, Summer, this may hurt a little," Alex laughs evilly. I look at him.
"Why?" I ask quietly.
"To prove to me that he's loyal, I have requested Drew hit you." My heart drops and I turn to Drew.
'Do it,' I mouth to him.

awwww man it feels like a year has passed and i have been waiting for the next chapter...... i just wish you would write again i have reread this story like 7 or 8 times i lost count bring it back pweazeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :(
