This made me think of the website http://www.unitednorthamerica.org/faq.htm Which you know will never happen.. but who knows :) It's an NBC nightly news story about a little border town where they are thinking of putting up barricades.
@Normand1833 Actually the immigration process to Canada is a long a difficult one, you must be educated, speak properly and have skills that are in demand for in Canada. You must be one of those people who still believe the 9-11 terrorists came from Canada, when in reality any body who leaves Canada is none of our concern, its the US`s responsibility of who enters the US.
if Canada stopped being a sieve, letting any kind of criminal, terrorist or foreign visitors who do not return to his country, the problem between these two cities that were once only, would not exist
this town is a friendly place to be where canadians and americans can socialize and harmonize and intermingle... the border patrol is the problem, they treat everyone like terrorists
why dont they just sign a nau agreement similar to europe and u got a problem solved... no more red tape on our border... people dont realize we have a good country in canada cuz they have soemthing else to deal with.... bush sucks
Strange I thought it was called Derby Line on both sides and Standsted was slightly further north of Derby Line.
Division of the town with barriers isn't the answer in my opinion. Maybe if the US and Canada can declare the city as "visa free" so it's inhabitants can visit both sides and have border guards outside the town on both sides of the town and have outsiders who comes into the city come in with a passport. I
