I got out of Scotiabank years ago and never went back.
Customer service was slow and unfriendly. The ATM machines were a lot friendlier .... at least they didn't snap your bankbook out of your hand!

So go figure,,,my account is in good standing, no missed or late payments everything up to date and they send a fucking balliff to take my car ????huh.
Are they idiots,,,of course they are,,,so they seize my car, it goes to the auction at best they may get $ 13000.00 and I owe $21000.00.
So instead of giving a customer in good standing a reduction in payments they would rather take an $ 8000.00 loss.
Thank fuck I don't have shares in a fucked up organization like that,,where's the sense ????

Ah good old Scotia bank, nice folks, their car financing in Alberta, why my dealer in B.C. put me through them I don't know.
A couple of months after I bought my car I lose my job,,,been out of work for almost a year.Called Scotia bank to see if we could arrange lower payments,,,not a fucking chance,,,really.
Although my account was up to date,,never missed a payment, the idiots sent a balliff with a seizure notice.
Take my car ? go ahead and I'll report it to the police as stolen,,,,.

@babygiraffe123 At least they have the cheapest bank accounts in the industry though. And yeah, they're required to cash government cheques up to 1500.

I've been dealing with Scotiabank for YEARS, and I've grown to hate them deeply! For one, they started charging $2 a month, just for passbooks! For two: I was in there, about a month ago, to cash a government cheque, and they refused to give me the full amount of my cheque! It took me 2 hrs to fight with them about it, until they finally realized THEY were wrong! Three: The tellers are completely rude and snotty. Seriously thinking of leaving and going to TD Canada Trust, where my hubby banks.
