    In earlier comments, others have said that in the original comics, Batman did have guns and did kill people.

    In 1939 was the only time Batman killed people. The writers changed that the year after because they saw how stupid and contradictary it is for batman to kill and use guns. For the past 70s years Batman never used a gun in the comics.
