I can't wait until I start filming underwater. I've been under Monterey 65 plus times... and then I day dream about it in between dives, lol :-)

What set up are you using for your gopro? Are you using a flat lense and a red filter? What mount are you using or is it just free hand?

Not a GoPro. This is a professional Sony A1U camera is a large Ocean Images housing with twin 50 watt halogen lights. My system is shown in another youtube video, Search for Underwater Video Equipment.

NIce Vid! So I'm a new diver and only spent my time under water in South Eastern Asia. Its nice and warm with awesome reefs :) problem is I live in the Bay Area and our waters are cold..I started flirting with the idea of diving monterey. Do you have any advise? Best time of year? Dive shops? etc

@510AdrenalineJunkie Drysuit is best, but uses a lot of lead. I like tropical diving also, but cold water has great colors and critters that are completely different. More limited visibility, sometimes waves or currents, certainly a lot colder, but with the right equipment can be done comfortably even if more difficult.

what site is this exactly?

It's off Pacific Grove, just northwest of the aquarium, in about 60 ft. Nice reef. I had a charter boat in Monterey for years (in 70's and 80's), but never dove this site before. Great site. 2nd dive is closer in to Pacific Grove.
