Elton John - Friends

As I am a keen John/Taupin fan, I have decided that (for the very first time) I will upload the entire Friends Soundtrack, including all the variation instrumentals. In the early seventies Elton John established himself as a charismatic and flamboyant soloist , and in a year that featured albums such as 'Madman across the Water' and 'Tumbleweed Connection', he yet again expressed his impeccable songwriting ability in this soundtrack.
In this teen romance, a young neglected English boy runs away and becomes friends with a French girl. Together, they go to an idyllic marsh location in France , become lovers, set up housekeeping, have a baby, and play at being responsible adults, discovering along the way many of the troubles involved, before ultimately becoming separated by police responding to a missing persons report.
The general response was poorly recieved by critics and commercially it failed to impress.
However the release of the soundtrack brought the energy into the production back to life and the title track still peaked at a successful #34 in the US charts.
The entire album was re-released with the compliation album 'Rare Masters' in 1992, while a couple of the songs were previously released on the 1980 'Lady Samantha' album.
Therefore I am proud to present the Friends Soundtrack in its entirety -

@buddyrtr I never get tired of reading comments about how this soundtrack has enriched and impacted so many lives of lovers, I dont come on youtube often enough due to a busy life to read all of them, as I always say, I am merely an EJ collector but it always puts a huge smile on my face to know the variety stories that have immersed from this song/soundtrack. 25 years ago my wife and I had this song as our wedding song. Everyone thought at the time we chose a song that was a little different, maybe even strange. Last April 3rd, she passed away and listening to this song now, it was perfect....thanks for posting
