The TSA is not acting :on behalf" of the companies - which don't own the airports, but RENT the publicly owned land, but instead work more akin with other federal agencies like the FAA and DHS - and thus are required to follow the law like everybody else.
bottom line: Know your facts, especially before telling others what to do....

The TSA is acting on behalf of a corporation on privately owned land, in effect you agreed to the search when you decided to fly.
