I forgot the tripod/camera mount so taped the very cool cheap amazing "flip video" camera to the tail with some black tape. The biggest new thing in this video is hovering autos from a little higher, and another big lesson - what happens when you take off with too little rotor rpm! Whew, ... survived to live and learn more on yet another day! Go to 10.

  • Larry, that looks fun... I've been looking into ultralight helicopters for awhile, but haven't found anything to my tastes. Your mosquito looks great, but I want to build one of my own. I bought the G-1 plans from Vortech, but they're TERRIBLE! I've designed airplanes, even a VTOL twin jet for a private investor.

But never a rotorcraft... I'd hate to start now! :) I know rotorcraft theory, but not design so much. Any tips? You've flown one... I haven't!

  • @clintkc TIPS? Yes! Here's a really good tip. In sort, if you are over 40 years old then you may not have enough time remaining in this life to design, test, and build a helicopter better than the Mosquito. And even if you did, you will spend far more money than the cost of the kit. Join the rest of us (kit builders) and help to make the Mosquito the best ultralight helicopter! Your knowledge and experience might add to the vast amount already being shared, to your and our benefit.

  • how much it costs and where it is produced? Answer me please

  • @pulsejet100 Kit = $25K, Canada, by Innovator Technology.

  • how high can it fly?

  • @wildkev1010 about 10,000 feet ASL (Above Sea Level)

  • muito bom.

  • very nice vid larry thankyou very much, looking forward to watch more of your vids this winter .

  • I flew a R/C Airplane once and it went strait for the trees. I ended up cutting the tree down to get it out. Trees are like magnets to flying objects.Be careful.

  • Steel balls my ass. He has atomic steel balls.

  • You teach yourself how to fly that? Do you have previous helicopter pilot experience? Seems dangerous. BTW where's your freaking helmet?!

  • YES!!! Larry don't have hair on his balls!1 Cause hair don't grow on steel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I hope you left your wife a registered will and a paid up life insurance policy.

  • River on one side, tree's on the other side. I can't think of a safer place to learn how to fly rotorcraft. That slight clanging sound in the background, that would be Larry's giant Steel balls banging together.

  • How much do these cost! These look like freaking fun! Oh, do u half to build it? Or can you get it pre-built?

  • hi larry ,,,, looks like fun ,,,, i am not a rotor person ,,, never was ,, can't figure out why ,,, fixed wing is my love ,,, my cousin was a crew chief on a copter in the navy , but never could convince be to appreciate them ,, , had a pilots lic. many many moons ago , and still have that aviation crush like lots of others ,,,, ,your turbine ultralight fixed wing is so so amazing ,,, turbines and planes ,what a match ,, have fun with all that you fly
