a chickpea and potato curry part one

chickpea curry with potatoes

6 decilitres cooked chickpeas, or 2-3 cans
4 medium sized potatoes peeled and cut into small bits and then boiled

2 to 3 large onions chopped with texture
3/4 decilitre cooking oil.. (I suggest for taste rapeseed oil)
3 (more or less to taste) sections of garlic clove crushed
one 5 centimetre bit of ginger root shredded
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons mustard seed
2 teaspoons ground turmeric
1 tablespoon ground paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
2 teaspoons prepared hot madras curry powder or garam masala (which ever you prefer)
black pepper to taste
cheyenne pepper to taste (optional) or substitute a finely
chopped red or green chilli for extra taste

Sea salt to taste.. I suggest about 1 and a half teaspoon. plus
1 can or 6 chopped large tomatoes
and if you want it really good Coriander leaves.. and fine chopped coriander stems,
clean roots and leaves added at the end
