Can I ask something? As a Christian in America, I hear that 68% of South Africa is supposedly Christian. So why all the rape, murder, AIDS, burglary, etc...is this how Jesus has instructed us to live? Who is doing these things in South Africa...it just stuns me that Christians could act in this way, unless you are saying it is the other 32% acting this way...anyone have an answer?

You are being naive. Africa operates on a completely different set of values from what you would consider normal. You can not uplift something that has no desire for change.

Doesn't our (white) tendancy of racism stem from the west's systematic abuse and exploitation of africa over the last few centuries? Surely, if the europe had shared its knowledge and uplifted it colonies, the africa of today would be a completely different place - or am I being naive?

you call this progress? I guess teh previous govement wasnt all that bad at least their country thrived only difference apartheid shouldnt have been written into the constitution. The poverty striking that country now is horrible and not even to talk about the crime its the most violent followed by iraq the BBC reported. THe reverse racism and hatered there is unbelieveable what about the white folk that had nothing to do with the old ages they suffer now.
