I have this DVD and love this version of this song. I have a CD with Carreras and have heard/seen recordings of Kauufmann, Domingo, Alagna and Villazon sing this and they can't beat this one in my view. A lot of tenors seem to screech it and don't pronounce the French properly! Beautiful performance.

Beautiful interpretation of all, !!!!!! the best Carmen ever, that's why all the public
libraries in USA have this Carmen. Everything is perfect of course my eyes fall on Luis Lima, perfect in every way he is a consummate actor, his voice has such presence, just sends shivers down my spine, every time, no matter what he does with it. he also has an excellent diction. To bad the DVD has no original French Subtitle.

Is there anyone that can sing "La fleur que tu m'avais jetee" better than Luis Lima?..
No, I don't think so. He is the best of the best. He is a antidivo, but he sing with elegance and beauty. We miss him on the stage, and I love him. Bravo.
