@XFChecker97 most corporation employ cult tactics and pressure you into conformity and acceptance of their philosophy and if you question it they look at you like there is something wrong with you.
I was approached by a member in Ealing Browdway, West London years ago (probably '99). At the time I was going to clubs and taking pills so was getting some bad side effects from comedowns. Anyway, this guy seemed to have all the right answers, had taken drugs before, knew what comedowns were like- He just made so much sense. Stupidly, i gave him my number and he called persistently asking me to meet up with a group until I threatened him with a call to the police. Luckily, he took the hint.
I was in the ICOC from 1998-2000. When I left it was said I "fell away" and my discipler said of me "I let satan get a foothold of my life" ...I took a religious abuse class in college and learned that singing before church (and this is no ordinary singing) is a sign of brainwashing and I didnt know that, also the fact that during church everyone is EXTREMELY happy and smiley was always very strange but thats how they were and going after a long period of time thats how I became also.
I have the ability to convince a lot people, make them follow me and even start a cult, but to be honest I don't have the courage to do this kind of thing to people.
@boblob2003 Agreed...and I can relate. What a lesson though, eh??? Can't get those years back either! But I feel more aware as a result of those wasted years. I got caught up in the weakest part of my life, so perhaps it served a purpose at that time.
@XFChecker97 Amway was similar as well. Amway was a "get rich quick scheme" money cult. Cults aren't only in religious circles. They're everywhere in various facets.
@boblob2003 I can say the same with my experience in the Jehovah's Witnesses. Though there were some really good people there, the rest of them are no different than the outside world they condemn... Not good.
