Q: BW employees have immunity under CPA law 17, should they have that? As civilians are they accountable under UCMJ?
A: They are accountable by US laws: Justice Dept would investigate them and hold them accountable like the 1 CIA contractor who's tried in North Carolina.

  • what part is not getting through to these people. if a contractor commits murder, prince says clearly, they're accountable and can be prosecuted. does she want Blackwater to open up it's own privatized Justice Department???

  • Except the State Dept incident report turns out was written by BW, imagine the rest of the "evidence", I have no confidence in Bush's justice dept either ;)

These goons think behave and will fail like the corrupt nepotistic commies did, bunch of Neanderthals.

  • Typical idiot , this woman is asking him the same questions and trying to paint him into a corner. When he answers he with something she does not like, she gets huffy. Lady the guy is a NAVY SEAL, who has been trained to deal with pressure, put that stupid blanket back over your head and go away.

  • @malagent I think she is saying that PMCs cant be held accountable for crimes they commit in Iraq, and that it will be hard to prosecute them in america if they do. but in the military its completely different they have their own law system which works, which is what she is pointing out.

  • The immunity is a damn good idea, I would not want any of our people, PMC or military tried in Iraqi courts - it's insane to think that it would have even facade of fairness

All of these questions can be answered by reading the Order, it's easy to understand & online.

I know one BW employee has been charged in US and sent to prison, it's obvious their accountable.

  • Additionally that "immunity" is only for performing contracted functions which legally would not include crimes.

It can also be revoked, is not intended to protect individuals and is standard in any contract that's worth the paper it's printed on, if my attorneys did not have that clause in mine I would fire them.

  • re "Is that a blanket she has on?"

It slipped of her head, I think she always has that.

  • Is that a blanket she has on?
